Galiya Ismakova

Galiya Ismakova is the Director of Procurement Division 2, Procurement, Portfolio, and Financial Management Department at the Asian Development Bank. She has over 30 years of work experience and 24 years of ADB experience. Galiya is an established international procurement expert with a track record of developing and improving public procurement arrangements and systems. Her expertise lies in international public procurement, digital transformation, e-government procurement, and international business management. She manages procurement professionals across South-East Asia, East Asia, and the Pacific regions, as well as the Consulting Services Unit, Urban services, water supply and sanitation, energy, and public sector management procurement sector teams.

Galiya has PhD (Philosophy) from the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, an MBA from the University of Western Australia, a Management Development Diploma following studies in I.A.E, Aix-en-Provence (France), and Lancaster University Management School, a Master’s Degree in Philosophy from Tashkent State University.

Galiya is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) and an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
