This enables early identification of potential risks, irregularities, or supplier performance issues. Beyond this, AI can further support data analysis, risk detection, supplier evaluation, and contract management, contributing to more informed and strategic procurement decisions. However, the deployment of AI in these areas must be approached with caution, ensuring that ethical, legal, and data governance considerations are fully addressed before AI is relied upon in core decision making processes.

      We can use AI in all areas of procurement process. This brings lot of efficiency in sorting and analyzing data useful in prudent decision making. AI can help in knowing market trends and can bring multiple perspectives. But tasks got performed through AI have to be intensively reviewed before putting in to use.

      While there are a lot of places where AI could be useful in Procurement,in my view where there is a Rating criteria in Evaluation purely on the quality of a proposal ,there is a danger of misuse/mistakes.Like in Consultancies we want to rate understanding of TOR.In the case of Works it is better to avoid or restrict to say 30percent marks for rated criteria for this very reason ,

ChatGPT will then provide you with recommendations to improve your narrative, all from the perspective of a donor focal point. Amazing, right?

      But donโ€™t be fooled โ€“ with the results of this approach, there is no guarantee that the selection committee or evaluators behind the table will think and work in the same way as ChatGPT does. However, it could help you to pinpoint potential oversights or areas that require improvement.

        consider use of AI for evaluation and also for writing bids. Cross-check that what is written in bids is based on reality, not on what you want to read/ hear – whether the bidder indeed has the capability they claim to have
