Santhanam Krishnan

Santhanam Krishnan has about 30 years of Procurement experience with Indian Railways which is the biggest buyer in the country other than Defence – largely in-charge of procurement policy unit, computerized materials management and procurement operations. He worked as a Procurement Officer at various levels – lastly worked as Executive Director Stores in the Ministry of Railways.Then joined the World Bank in 1996.He has about15 years experience as Lead Procurement Specialist/ Consultant with New Delhi office of World Bank.Conducted procurement supervision of a number of projects in India, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan.Conducted Procurement Training course in Ethiopia.Provided Procurement support in Jakarta office of World Bank .Prepared a CPAR of India for New Development Bank.

He has a Bachelor of Engineering degree along with a degree in Law
